01Who can use Remy

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Remy. By using Remy you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.

02Not a medical or emergency service

Remy is an informational tool. It is not a medical device, it does not provide medical advice or diagnosis, and it is not a monitored emergency response or personal emergency response system.

Event detections such as a possible fall, signs of distress, a trip hazard, or night wandering are best-effort software signals. They may be inaccurate, delayed, or missed.
Do not rely on Remy in an emergency. If you believe someone needs help, call your local emergency number.
Always consult a licensed healthcare provider before making decisions about anyone's health or care.

You accept these limits as a condition of using Remy.

04Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully.

05Connecting your Ring camera

Remy works only after you link your Ring account and authorize access through the Ring app. You choose which devices to connect, and you can revoke access at any time through the Ring app or within Remy. Your use of Ring devices remains subject to Ring's own terms. We are not responsible for Ring's services, availability, or data practices.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use Remy for covert surveillance, stalking, harassment, or to track or build profiles of individuals.
Use Remy in any way that could lead to death, injury, or property damage, or rely on it as a safety-critical or life-critical system.
Reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Remy or its systems.
Use Remy to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.
Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Remy except as we expressly permit.

07Subscriptions and payment

If Remy offers paid features or subscriptions, the price, billing cycle, and renewal terms will be disclosed to you at the point of purchase. Where you purchase through the Ring Appstore, billing, refunds, and cancellations may also be subject to the Ring Appstore's policies. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable. You may cancel a subscription as described in the app, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

08Intellectual property

Remy, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Remy for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. You retain ownership of the data and content associated with your account. You grant us the limited rights needed to process that data to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

09Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect information, including data from your Ring camera. By using Remy you agree to the practices described there.

10Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remy is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Remy will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any detection will be accurate or timely. You use Remy at your own risk.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use Remy, including any reliance on a detection, alert, or summary, or the absence of one. Our total liability for any claim relating to Remy will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for Remy in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of Remy, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any person, including any claim that you monitored a person without proper authority or consent.

13Termination

You may stop using Remy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, the rights granted to you end, and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the app or by email before it takes effect. Your continued use of Remy after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.

15Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the State of Minnesota, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your home country.
